Dawn Time Personal Clock
Stay with the sun. Skip the DST headache.
Your body was not designed around a time zone. It was designed around the sun. Dawn Time is a personal clock that holds morning to first light at a home you choose.
Twice a year the zone clock jumps. You lose an hour of morning, or you get a confusing extra one. Meetings stay put; the sky does not. If you wake with dawn, you stop rearranging your life around that jump.
DST is a clock trick. Dawn is not.
Spring forward steals a morning. Fall back leaves you staring at a clock that no longer matches the light you already woke up to. That is extra annoyance on top of a sky that was already moving a little every day.
Pin first light to a clock hour you like — 6:00, 5:00, even 00:00. Hours stay sixty minutes. When the zone clock springs forward, dawn is still dawn. Your wake still happens when the sky lightens.
Town does not switch with you. Work, school, and calendar invites stay on your
home zone clock. Dawn Time never pretends to be the time you tell other people.
On the watch it is labeled DNT.
Two clocks. One of them is yours.
First light, not sunrise
Dawn is usable outdoor light, before the sun appears. Sunrise is the disk. The wheel and alarm labels keep both honest.
Wake by dawn
Alarms live in Dawn Time or as sun events, then fire at the next instant on the zone clock. Hens out at dawn, lockup at dusk, bedtime as a companion of a linked wake.
On the wrist
Wear OS shows DNT and sunlight left on other faces, plus a Dawn
Time watch face with a thin sun-aligned rim. Phone and watch sync over the
Data Layer — no Dawn Time account or cloud.
A homestead morning, still honest about town
Aligning with first light is the natural signal. Whether a 10:00 job still works in January is a separate question — including the DST kinks on a zone-time alarm, which are clock artifacts, not astronomy.
Dawn Time will not move that meeting. It shows how the sun sits under it, so you can decide before you change how you sleep.
The watch stays on the sky
Zone-clock hands for glanceable time. A yellow daylight arc for the sun you actually live under. Complications for date and the usual watch stats — without pretending Dawn Time is Eastern Time.
Never tell someone else you are on Dawn Time. It is only for you.
