These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Dawn Time apps listed above. By installing or using an app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

What Dawn Time is

Dawn Time is a personal clock aligned to first light at a home you choose. It is not a replacement for your home zone clock, calendar time, or the time you tell other people. Work, school, and town stay on your home zone clock.

We do not operate a Dawn Time account, login, or cloud backend. Settings, alarms, and home coordinates live on your devices unless you choose to export them in a later release.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Setting an accurate home location for sky calculations
• Granting or denying optional permissions (location, calendar, watch sensors) as you choose
• Using alarms and reminders safely — Dawn Time is not a medical device, safety monitor, or substitute for professional advice
• Keeping your devices secure and backed up according to your own preferences

Do not use Dawn Time in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

Alarms and smart wake

Alarms ring at times computed on your device from your home coordinates and preferences. Smart wake, when enabled with a paired watch, ends at first light — it does not extend wake past dawn by default.

We do not guarantee that an alarm will ring at an exact instant in all device states (for example, if the OS delays or blocks alarms, the watch is off-body, or permissions are denied).

Third-party services

Dawn Time uses platform services you already have on your devices, including Google Play, Wear OS, Android location and geocoding, optional Google Calendar on the phone, and Android backup. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control them.

Intellectual property

Dawn Time, its design, and its code are owned by Blackhawk Electronics. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks except as needed to identify the apps you installed from an official store listing.

Disclaimer

THE APPS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BLACKHAWK ELECTRONICS IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APPS.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after a posted change means you accept the updated Terms.

Material changes to how we handle data are covered in the Privacy Policy, including in-app notice when the shipped policy version is newer than the version you last acknowledged.
